Where we started
In 2022, Zoe noticed a lack of access to healthy, organic, vegan, allergy-friendly whole foods in her neighbourhood in Seattle. Being a vegan with food allergies made it additionally difficult to access foods that were not only nourishing to the body, but also affordable. In 2023, Yaygit opened its doors to the public, intentioned with customer-focused service—listening to those who needed support, and making sure they were heard and seen. We curated a menu that focused on gender health and wellness, whilst also considering those with comorbidities, and saw the building of our much loved community and brand.

Our Mission
Our mission is to create healthy, plant-based, 100% vegan foods with high quality organic ingredients that are worthy of you. We value people, and we want them to feel good with their food, feel more empowered in how they care for their wellness, and change the way they see food; not as good or bad, but rather as support, replenishment, and medicine. We are what our gut eats, so we make it good.

Yaygit Values
Yaygit was founded in 2023 in Ballard, Seattle. We opened our first brick and mortar cafe serving vegan, allergy-friendly meals, smoothies, and baked goods.
Yaygit is a health-centered brand that is committed to being 100% organic. We work with suppliers in sourcing ingredients that are fair trade and engage with fair labour labor practices. We are transparent in listing our ingredients, and we maintain our organic certification by ensuring everyone we work with in production and sourcing of materials are also certified organic.

Always creative
If there is one thing that says Yaygit, it’s our creativity—from creating new recipes that are not just beautiful in taste but vibrant in flavor and colours, to our poems we share to read as our customers eat. We love coming up with unique names for our butters and fantastic puns on words for our smoothies and juices in our brick and mortar cafe. When it comes to imagery, we let our products do the work. If we could choose two words that describe Yaygit, it's vibrant and quirky.
